Brighton House

Insights from
the Architect

A level corner site in an established, urban location is the setting for this contemporary family home.

The long and hovering, cantilevered, lower roof, wraps around the clean lines and larger mass of the two storey structure, leading one to the entry. External auto blinds and flush timber garage door and wall add a sophistication to the façade while the courtyard pond opposite the front door extends this ‘path’ through the house.

The intuitively flowing and open floor plan retains a spatial clarity and clear definition which is the comfortable backdrop for diverse family activities.
