The process starts with a conversation with your Design Manager.
Discuss your budget and your block (if you have one), define who you are, what inspires you, and most importantly, what you envision for your home. Great design outcomes result from our design team truly understanding you and your expectations.
Here we gather any other information that may effect your brief or our design.
We visit the block with you and undertake a full site and planning analysis including surveying and soil testing. We want to know all the facts before we start so we can ensure there are no surprises. From these findings, we’ll provide you with an indicative cost of the ideas in your brief so you can refine your brief before we develop your design.
Based on the brief we’ve defined our architects will now design your home.
Whether you choose to work with one of our external design partners or our in house architectural team, here we conceptualise your home; we develop plans, costings, computer generated 3D drawings and full specifications of finishes so you can see exactly what your house will look like, and know exactly what it will cost.
Now that your home has been designed you will begin the Interior Design process, where you express your style and the fun really begins.
Working closely with our Interior Design partner Huntley Watson you will create a comprehensive look and feel for your home.
During the process you will be guided through selecting your colour pallet, fixtures, fittings and all items design. Touch and see all of the products, fixtures and fittings with the curated selection available at our Head Office and Design Centre, or, from anywhere you like.
With key decisions made, we develop a pack of all plans and specifications.
This includes working and structural detail drawings, engineering, internal detail drawings, electrical plans and house smarts. At this stage we’ll also sort out legal requirements like town planning and building permits. The result is a full set of documents, comprising a fixed price building contract that will set the construction process in motion.
Now that the design is finalised and final pricing agreed it’s time to break out the tools.
We obtain the building permit, order all materials and appoint your site manager. During the construction process, we follow strict and realistic timelines and adopt stringent benchmarks for workmanship. Whether you’re located nearby or not, you’ll be kept up to date at every stage until completion.
