For over two decades, Eileen and Aiden called a charming Federation style house their home. They desired a more modern home and the chance to build new presented itself when a neighbouring site became available. Taking advantage of the opportunity, they embarked on a journey to bring their new home to life.
Through an interior design studio, they discovered Glenvill Homes and said the company’s professionalism impressed them. After viewing the website and seeing the ability to explore alternative layouts to personalise their new home, they felt confident they found the right builder.
Eileen and Aiden adore many features of their new home, but they were immediately drawn to the modern facade and the convenient side entry. They carefully designed their home to suit their lifestyle, making the most of the open spaces inside and out to create inviting areas for entertaining family and friends.
Their courtyard, positioned near the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, created an airy and bright atmosphere throughout the entire space. “Our courtyard, with morning and afternoon sun beaming through the kitchen windows, is one of our favourite features of our home,” they express.
During the initial stages, Glenvill worked with Eileen and Aiden to make sure they were happy throughout the process. “We found Glenvill easy to work with during the tender process. We did take up a lot of the available variations and found they were able to incorporate them in a timely manner.”
With the build starting just after the COVID pandemic, there were challenges, but Glenvill remained professional in their approach, offering a smooth build process, Eileen expressed. “Post covid brought its challenges, but we had a good working relationship with the staff,” she notes.
Overall, the building experience with Glenvill Homes exceeded Eileen and Aiden’s expectations. Not only were Glenvill accommodating throughout the process, but also incredibly efficient in incorporating their vision. When asked if they would build again with Glenvill Homes, the answer was an enthusiastic “yes, we would!”
