For Thalia, the decision to build with Glenvill Homes was swift and straightforward. “It was around Christmas time two years ago, and I saw a Facebook ad featuring the show home in Bentleigh East and loved the look of it,” she shares. Thalia was captivated by the 0.08 façade and, after visiting in person, the decision was sealed promptly after a chat with Glenvill’s Design Manager.
“I put a lot of faith and trust in Glenvill,” she emphasises, highlighting the importance of relying on their expertise as a business owner.
One of our most popular home designs, the Contemporary Residence proved to be the perfect canvas for Thalia’s family. “Aside from a few minor changes, we basically opted to create a replica of the Bentleigh East show home since it was pretty much perfect as is,” she notes. Thalia’s customisations included selecting a few choices from the Design Options available for the floorplan, such as adding ensuites to each bedroom. The floorplan, described as “fantastic” by Thalia, effortlessly combines comfort with functionality.
Created specifically to offer a budget friendly solution for those looking to knock-down and rebuild, the Contemporary Residence was a fantastic option for Thalia. “The home design worked within our budget and we were able to stick to it even with some alterations,” she notes.
For Thalia, the most exciting part of the journey wasn’t just completing the structure but realising an exceptional floorplan. “This is by far the best floorplan we’ve lived in – it’s just really comfortable, flows easily and the connections are so well thought out,” she expresses.
With every space thoughtfully designed to complement one another, it’s hard to pick a favourite! For Thalia, the master bedroom – a massive, penthouse-like space that radiates relaxation – is top of the list.

Opting to build new rather than buying an established home was a conscious decision for Thalia, who cherishes the familiarity of the area.
Given her busy lifestyle, Thalia’s decision to build with Glenvill Homes was one of trust and intuition.
“Given I made such a quick decision, we really put blind faith in the Glenvill team and I’m happy to say it paid off!”
This trust extended to the on-site experience, where Thalia, with her demanding schedule, relied on her project manager to oversee details and provide suggestions when needed. “I work 85 hours a week and own my own business, so I really didn’t have time to shop around and do a whole lot of research,” she acknowledges.
In the end, the Glenvill team’s commitment went beyond the contractual obligations. Even the colour selection process, a critical but potentially daunting step, was streamlined and efficient.
As Thalia looks back on her journey, there’s no doubt in her mind about future choices. “Without a doubt, I’d build with Glenvill again in a heartbeat!”
